SpaceMan

A pretty common theme around smoking is outer space. I guess floating weightlessly through the cosmos would definitely be an enjoyable experience, just make sure you space craft has a sustainable ganja garden. Anyway, the theme of today's post is outer space, so pack you bowls and tell your wife you love her, lift off commences immediately.

Toking Tunes

Space Oddity by David Bowie - A solid classic, and the best way to start of your journey. Don't worry though, your state of the art space ship will ensure that you don't have any of the problems Major Tom had way back in the 60's. Here's the Mister Deeds clip, and you should watch it whether or not you enjoyed/saw the movie. Also, aren't David Bowie's eyes weird?? Apparently his best friend punched him in the eye over a girl when they were kids. Huh! These are reasons why Dave's the man.

My Spaceship by Tay Dizm - Relaxed rap made to get high to. Not much more to add this, enjoy the thinly veiled euphemisms!

Outta Space (Remix) by DJ Deekline - Dubstep remix of a reggae song.  "Yo mamma, yo daddy, yo sistas a ho!" The drop is at :52, although this song is often referred to as breakbeat instead of dubstep.

High Jives

3030 by Deltron 3030 - Deltron 3030 is a rap group composed of Dan the Automator, Del tha funkee homosapien, and DJ Kid Koala. They only have one album, which took 2 weeks to write in 2000, although their next album has been announced since 2006 and has yet to be released. The lyrics are all futuristic, and describe the main character's battle against the corporations of the future, as well as winning an interspectacular rap battle.

Space Weed by Dark Nebula - This is a trippy disjointed video linked with an interesting sound.

Speaking Dankly
You should try to shoot a capsule of your DNA out in to space. That way there's a chance it'll land on a planet/moon/asteroid and become the basis for new life. Any life forms that arose would be composed of structures made from you. You would pretty much be God. Go give it a shot!

Rap Songs

Toking Tunes

Smokin Good by Wiz Khalifa - This is a great weed song, and Wiz Khalifa is pretty great too. His lyrics are about three things, weed, girls, and smoking weed with girls (usually your girl). The things he raps about are relatable though, and it's always good to see an artist get attention without a major label record deal (especially a rap artist). His album is called "Kush and Orange Juice", so how can you go wrong?

Slacker by Tech N9ne - Love him or hate him, Tech N9ne is here to stay. He's been around for about 18 years, and he's been churning out some decent material, and his skill is undeniable. This song has the potential to be the slacker anthem, and it's been one of my favorite tunes to burn to for quite some time.

Forgot About Dre (Remix) - Your daily dose of dubstep is brought to you today by the chronic. The Chronic and The Chronic 2001 are both solid albums produced by the good doctor, and most of the songs on the two could be featured in this post. Here are the links to the two albums for your listening pleasure, look 'm up, they're classics. The Chronic     The Chronic 2001  Drunk as Fuck Right Next to Humongous Truck. Some old fashion pre-pop eminem in this remix.

Forgor About Dre by DJ Sleek - What's this? A double dose of daily dubstep Dre drops? Yes. A double dose of the same song even, however this remix has no words and a very intricate dubstep background.

High Jives

Blueberry Yum Yum by Ludacris - Smoker's classic, everything is good about this tune, from the beats, to the lyrics, to Ludacris' lifestyle, and especially the music video. Don't watch this if you're not smoking because by the end, you're going to have to. Mmmmm mmmmmm, you can almost taste that massive joint.

Bong Toke by Kottonmouth Kings - KMK are strictly a weed rap group, so pretty much any of their songs could fill this slot, but I picked Bong Toke so I could save "420" for my 4:20 post. If your tube is within reach, pack it up like it's going to camp for the summer and rip it like you're stealing music from library CDs.

Speaking Dankly
You should probably drink something with alcohol in it, preferably something rap related, or at least referenced in a rap song. Go with a 40 oz to look tough and authentic or some champagne to show off how every day of your life is cause for celebration.

Colt 45 and two zig zags - baby it's all you need

Immortal Technique is probably the realest hip hop you'll hear. "The Gatalog" is probably the most extensive.
Check out Snowgoons too.

Stoner's Corner
Put some of the smoking equipment online today, sadly master chief had to be euthanized since the bottle neck has gotten burnt/moldy and makes the smoke taste terrible. We gave him a fitting funeral, and he will be missed. Ate some bread today.

Post Number 2

Toking Tunes

Smoke Two Joints by Sublime - This is Sublime's remake of The Toyes 1983 song, and I would say they more than do it justice. Sublime is a basic staple in drug culture, and smoke two joints is arguably their best known drug song, so smoke um if you got um. Complex Pun! Joints get underestimated and sometimes overlooked for their older brother, da blunt, but two joints will get you lifted to the perfect level with less resources.

Leaving On A Jet Plane by Slightly Stoopid - Looks like you get a double dose of stonerock today, as well as another cover of an older song. The original by John Denver has a completely different intended meaning, but Slightly Stoopid does a great job at twisting this country ballad into acceptable, tokable music.  Nothing against John Denver, he just doesn't fit the venue. If you have a bong lying around somewhere, smoke it now.

Swagga Back by Datsik and Excision - Once again it's time for your daily dubstep dosage, and Swagga Back delivers with free overnight shipping. Also if it doesn't come within half an hour, you get it for free! Beat drops at :52, and you damn well better be ready for it. This is a little grimier than yesterday's Flux, but the chorus brings things together so well that you really can't complain.

High Jives

Hold The Line by Major Lazer - When M.I.A. first introduced Diplo and Switch, it was pretty much a sure thing that something crazy would evolve from it. Well, here it is.  Major Lazer is a fictional cartoon character,[1] who (according to press releases) fought as a Jamaican commando who lost his arm in a secret zombie war in1984.[2] He fights vampires and various monsters, parties hard, and has a rocket-powered hoverboard. (Thanks Wikipedia). This new sound is funky and crazy enough to make me forgive Diplo for selling out on that Blackberry Commercial, granted, it is an awesome commercial.

Lovely Allen by Holy Fuck - No idea what this is but I like it. I've heard a couple Holy Fuck songs before, and I wasn't really blown away by any of them, but the music video makes it obvious how talented these guys are. I guess I'd call this post wave, and I think it proves that you can still rock out even if your on soundboard/synthesizer. If you like this you should check out Grease Fire by the same artist.

Go buy a snickers bar. Right now. You'll be glad you did.
Speaking of which, did I ever tell you about the time I smoked out of a milky way? Probably not since this is only the 2nd blog post. Well, you just stick it in the freezer for a bit, poke a long hole through it lengthwise (a pencil works, but thinner is better. I used a chopstick). Then fashion a lil bowl that connects to the long hole, and if you want to get fancy you can add a carb on the side as well. You'll probably only get to smoke a bowl or two before it starts to melt and lose structural integrity, but then you get to eat it!

Watch Adult Swim

Also, while we're on adult swim, this is great. http://games.adultswim.com/hemp-tycoon-puzzle-online-game.html

I'll be honest, I'm straight up dying to own this. 60 bucks for a quality percolator bong with a diffused downstem? I'd be a fool not to. Once again though, I've got to wait til the weekend so I can make the cash to fund such a purchase. I just need to find a distraction until I've got the dough, and by distraction I mean home made grav bong.

The Very First Post

Toking Tunes - Listen to these while you smoke
High Jives - Listen to these after you smoke
Speaking Dankly - Recommendations on food, pieces, articles, and just about everything
Stoner's Corner - Good stuff I've found, exciting things I'm up to, and some of the stoned creations we've concocted

Toking Tunes

Ganja Smuggling by The Expendables - A reggae song covered by a band with full shredding capabilities. The riffs in this are so solid you could set your beverage down on one. The Expendables have been around for about 13 years, but they're just now on the verge of making it big. The original version by Eek A Mouse is also worth a listen, and I would play this instead if you prefer reggae over stonerock. Playing both of them is probably your best bet.

Pursuit Of Happiness by Kid Cudi, MGMT, and Ratatat - It's almost as if someone decided to take three of the best artists to smoke to and put them all together to make this yawesome stoner mosiac. Smooth beats, enticing chorus, and relevant lyrics make this a top choice. If you're skimming this blog and not smoking, chances are you'll still be baked by the end of the song just from the atmosphere it creates. Now rip it. Rip it good.

I Can't Stop by Flux Pavilion - This here's your daily dose of dubstep, and it is a squalid one. Flux is easily within my top five dubstep MCs, and this is one of his best. Just make sure you're in the process of puffing and your volume is cranked when the beat drops at :34. For anyone unfamiliar with dubstep, familiarize yourself immediately. UKF Dubstep Channel

High Jives

Mirando by Ratatat - There's no way around it, Ratatat is str8 up amazing. The music video features scenes from "Predator" remixed to the jam. Sometimes I forget how fantastic that movie is, for example, Jesse Ventura tells the spec ops team that chewing tobacco turns you into a "goddamn sexual tyrannosaurus". Hahahhhh he ran a state for four years...

In The Flesh? by Pink Floyd - Well this is just a classic. The sound quality isn't that great in this video, but I wanted the one with the scene from the movie. If you ever want to get your dome seriously blown, then you should watch that bad boy baked, but I will warn you, it's Intense. But if you've got the balls for it (even metaphorical ones ladies), I highly recommend it. Anyway, this song is the overture to the film, and it's one of the best songs to listen to stoned by one of the best bands to listen to stoned, so appreciate it.

Fun to listen to, pretty basic synthesized beats used very creatively. Also, props to whoever designed this website, it's fantastic.

This is regular show, and it's rather great. It's on every monday on cartoon network at 8:15, and I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that 15-24 year-old weed smokers are its target audience.

Poutine - If you can get your hands on this, do so immediately. Straight out of Quebec, it'll probs hang around your arteries for awhile, but it's 100% worth it.

Stoner's Corner
Well, today I made a blog about good music to smoke to. Fresh out of herb until the weekend though, so I guess you could call this a  mandatory tolerance break. Fortunately there's a wee bit o' kief left in case of desperate times. We've been smoking stems topped with kief lately, which yields a solid but short high, and usually a headache. In the future this section will feature pictures of paraphernalia, smoking gadgets, fun stuff, and anything awesome that I'm up to. Enjoy the blog!
